The Dusty Baking Show

In the wet cold of a New York City autumn, I hired the incredibly lovely Tamishia Harris to hang out in my kitchen with a camera and record while I baked. I had been contemplating what a gluten-free baking show of mine could look like, and while a more formal product is still one I’m musing on while at work cooking or during cab rides between interviewing chefs, I knew I needed to start somewhere. I wanted to create something fun, accessible and relaxed. Something not particularly polished or pretty. Something friendly. Something a little… dare I type it… dusty.

Gluten-Free Food Series for E:How Food

A few months after the Dusty Baking demo was out I got asked to do a gluten-free baking series for E:How Food. Fun stuff. I learned once again that there should be more lighting designers in this world. But also that people that work behind a camera are incredibly cool to hang out in a kitchen with. The director, my assistant (the divine Kym at Free Spirit Eater) and I shot all ten of these videos in one day.

Fingers crossed that for the next series I’m asked to do, they throw a makeup person and my own personal coconut water re-filler into the deal.
